This project explores all the design characteristics of a simple object in nature: the pine cone. From its color and texture to its Fibonacci characteristics and imaginative uses in society, the pine cone is throughly discussed and analyzed in a graphically attractive format.
The shape of the triangle is consistently used throughout this book, representing the basic shape of the pine cone itself. The angularity of the triangles are complimented by layers of vellum on every page, which serve to both graphically support the shapes and provide information without interfering with the pictures themselves. The book is a journey, with more information being revealed with the each new layer.
By the end of the book, the conclusion is clear: the pine cone is a beautifully designed part of God’s elaborate creation.
