Papa Rupe Brewing Co.™ is a brewery from the heart of Ponce, Puerto Rico. The brand honors the owner's loving grandfather who's nickname was "Papa Rupe". This brewery holds some part of antiquity since is located in the 127 year old historic house of Thomas Armstrong. To emulate it's history and background, ebo™ created an identity that would be held dearly in Papa's memory.
Papa Rupe was well recognized by his bold eyeglasses and Panama hat. The client requested these two elements where incorporated in the logo in some way. This was the treatment done for both an illustrative and typographic logo.
