deco.
Understanding environmental problems of the fashion world, a collective group of creative designers founded deco. in 2021. Called a sustainable fashion design institute, deco. was built with a wish to show people a different take on fashion design, and to educate the young generations about a more sustainable future, creating a better tomorrow. deco. delivers certified academic programs, workshops, and short courses in sustainable fashion design.

concept.
The essence of deco. is a combination of its main components: design and eco. We would think of the workspace of fashion designers, filled with needles, sewing threads, colorful textiles, and garments. At the same time, this design - eco correlation visually reminds us of old, reused clothing, with patches and stitches to cover up the old, ripped parts.
The visual identity for deco. reflects flaws in handicraft, but retains the structure and form of fashion design, while telling its story of sustainability within. All of those are patched all together into one. A single main Key Visual is developed from the shape of the Clothing Sewing Pattern, and to be used as patched pieces within deco.'s visual identity.

Visualization.
From the idea of a sewing pattern, multiple shapes have been developed. Each shape always combines with an identical stitching pattern surrounding its rear, representing the patching effect. This visual combination creates a feel that the shapes are stitched into the design, similar to patchwork in clothing.
A patch on top of a piece of garment would alter its color, feel, and texture. We want to deliver the same experience here, visually. When the shapes overlap other components of a design, like typography, or photos, the components underneath the shape would create an embossed effect, halftone, or a color change
