Aging is not the time itself that has passed away, it is the fragments and structure of memories we carry and the collection of events which happened to us. We are determined by these and also determined by the missing memory fragments as well. Memories are either light and mild or heavy like a stone on one’s heart. This unique, and strong structure of positive memory fragments are represented by the cardboard paper cut in small pieces and mount together, ending in a rigid concrete piece that despite of its expected strength, is the most fragile part of the whole object.
“The shoulder plate is not a standardizable product as it varies from individual to individual. The jewel is not attached to the body or clothes, it is only lying on the shoulder following the wearer’s body. It could fall off whenever the body is in motion. To keep from falling, you are forced to stand on hold, with a proper straight posture. This posture is a physical manifestation of experiences, and aging. Bad memories pull down many good memories; the structure is thus balanced.”
