When I was asked to do an Adobe Live stream around composite photography I knew I wanted to focus on product advertisement. I had been itching to create something with EOS chapsticks since their design is so fun and unique. On their social media they were running with themes of tropical, summer, and hydration. So brainstorming around those themes I noticed the shape of their product made me think of the suckers on an octopus tentacle. So, I ended up creating a tentacle shape out of modeling clay and sprinkles. I poured vegetable glycerin over it and overlayed sparkle layers to bring out a Lisa Frank style playfulness to this octopus character.
