i was asked to develop this new youtube series visually and basically do whatever i wanted as long as it matched the voiceover. since i was on a tight schedule to do these but also did not want to lose this opportunity, i decided to not do any kind of storyboarding or planning and just developed the animation ideas as i was reading the voiceover script. it really was a great chance to be able to just use simple motion graphics to tell a coherent story as well as lots of chances for more traditional, hand drawn frame by frame animation.
i was able to keep this up for the first 10 episodes and develop a unique style for this series, but due to other work commitments we ended up going with a simpler style from episode 11 onward.
