LUCKY STAR - The Taste of Home
We collaborated with Spitfire films and award winning Director Katlego Baaitse on this Lucky Star TV advert. A heartwarming tale of a young girl who betters her community through her art and of course Lucky Star Pilchards. We designed a few illustrated pieces as well as did some frame by frame hand drawn animation seen throughout the commercial.
Getting the right look
Each frame was lovingly crafted and colour graded to fit in with a uniquely South African flavour. The types of illustrations we created were also done in the style typically seen in the area we're showcasing in the advert. A lot of research into what felt authentic and genuine was done to best represent the communities that would relate to the story.
