Rest is a project done in Da Nang, Vietnam. Observing how the people of Da Nang rest and understanding how they rest in a limited space. Working with their local craft of straw mats, studying the material and finally integrating it into a series of three furniture.

The publication for this project can be view here.
'Kiao-Ka' Bed, which means resting your leg on something. After noticing that people in Vietnam tend to lift their leg up onto something when they are sleeping or lying down watching the television.
Bed with Pillow. Observing that Vietnamese love to sleep when they have free-time. For example, shop keeps when there isn't any customers. They will stack objects which are soft and comfortable to rest their head on to sleep.
Chair and Table. The last of the series is the chair and table. After seeing many portable food stores along the street, they usually set up mini table and stools for their customers. Users will be able to sit facing the table or sit facing the side and use the table as a side table.
