The Bowery Mission- 2019 Celebration of Hope

October 2019, The Bowery Mission hosted its 15th annual Celebration of Hope Silent & Live Auction. In support of the organization’s programs for men, women and children, the evening included live music, a silent and live auction, and stories of life transformation.
Yuling’s vivid designs are a sophistication statement and abstract approach to the under water theme. The backdrop, which features organic marbling and vibrant blue hues, is rich in texture, saturation, and fluidity. Angled typography wraps around the edges and provides visual movement, creating a look that elegantly juxtaposes soft and hard details.
Along with the designs, the vibrant lighting, reflecting off of hanging swaths of sheer fabric, and live fish centerpieces all help to re-imagine the grand Capitale space as a deep sea scene.

Painterly waves, in a monochromatic palette, make a big splash.

Yuling created large informational blocks, stacked askew to eye level, as a way for guests to engage with statistics and stories of life transformation from The Bowery. The display stands in juxtaposition to the fluidity of the designs and decorations.

Through this event, friends of The Bowery Mission raised over $200,000 to help change the lives of men, women, and children.

This event was sponsored by the May and Samuel Rudin Family Foundation, Inc. It was held at Capitale in downtown Manhattan, with photography by Albert Cheung Photography.
