The man she once loved - now mad with rage - found her convent and burned it to the ground with her and her sisters in it. By the grace of a higher power, she survived, although badly burned. She now takes on the identity of a white bat - Ectophylla alba - and goes out into the night to save woman (and men) who are abused and tormented.
