The Story

Quarter of a century ago, on the 17th of July in 1989, a European man’s skeleton was found in the siberian Barguzin whose characteristics matched with our greatest poet, Sándor Petőfi’s physical signs on 25 points. Sensational news was followed by controversy overheated by emotions and primitive recriminations said to be professional. How the skeleton was “smuggled” from Moscow, how it was “enchanted” into a woman in America, why they wanted to annihilate the remains – numerous scandal girdled the Petőfi-case, which ultimately became a victim of scientific and political skirmish. In this book, the author – Tibor Borzak who was a member of the expedition as a journalist – lines up the existing siberian legends, the facts of prisoners of war issues and unfolds the mysteries surrounding the skeleton, which make up a real thriller.
More secrets are revealed readable as the pictures are illuminated with the UV-lamp included in the book.
