Laura Alcock's profile

lifelite | Corporate Identity

We were approached by a young entrepreneur with a recently founded charity to develop its name and logo.

The organisation aims to save thousands of pedestrian lives every year by promoting the use of safety reflector bands; a light reflecting material that can be worn by pedestrians to make them visible to motorists in the dark. The product range includes safety reflector slap bands, badges, jackets, and key rings.
The name below, lifelite, is a simple and self-evident description of what the product is and does - saving lives by 'lighting' them up in the dark.
The final logo below tangibly demonstrates the effectiveness of wearing a safety reflector at night. When seen from a distance, the grey letters are invisible; all you notice are the strips of fluorescent green. In the same way that a person at night is 'invisible' from a distance, but when wearing the fluorescent reflector bands can be seen and an accident avoided.

The logo is flexible and dynamic. The fluorescent green elements can be 'worn' on the name in many different ways, in the same way that the different types of reflectors can be worn on the body.
This name and logo was pitched to the client, but it has not yet been registered under the above name.
It is still owned by The Jupiter Drawing Room (Utopia).
