The term "Bohemian" was applied to the people who lived the simple yet unconventional and artistic lifestyles in the early 20th Century. Our main inspiration for the editorial was to grab style elements of Vanessa Bell and Virginia Wolf with modern influences such as from Kate Moss and Sienna Miller. The aim of the assignment was to draw inspiration from history and our group chose to take the styles from 70s and 80s Bohemian and Hippie movement. Textures included feather, knit, metals and natural wood to communicate a sense of nature and the carefree attitude of the "gipsy". The ram head skeleton and large wooden cross corresponded to the lifestyle of the Gypsies who were not part of the society but also has their own religious and personal values.
