BIRD SANCTUARY, CALGARY, AB, CANADA
Project for the City of Calgary. The project was to design a panel of migrating birds for the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary in Calgary. My piece demonstrates a group of birds that are present all year round and it also shows particular species that come during specific seasons throughout the year.
My illustration is evenly divided in 12 panels, one for each month. They are displayed in a group of three panels, and every time a new month begins, a panel is replaced. My objective is to educate and to inspire people to go outside and identify what birds they can currently observe at the sanctuary. The way my illustration is designed keeps the space fresh by offering new visuals for those who return to visit.
