The dragon
In Romanian fairytales, the dragon (balaurul) is a huge snake, sometimes with one head and sometimes with several heads. It often appears winged.

They are mythical beings antagonistic to man.

Being mythical creatures with supernatural powers, they can only be defeated by a supernatural power, an evil or beneficent deity, a demigod, and most of the time a saving hero.

In some beliefs about dragons, they fight in the sky. In battle, the dragons release flames from their nostrils and when they hit their heads and tails, the sky rumbles.
