Pucca by Maria Escoté | 2019

Maria Escoté, the Catalan designer that is used to dressing celebrities such as Paula Echevarria, Rosalia, Katy Perry, and Beyoncé, turns PUCCA, the protagonist of the popular series from the early 2000s, into a symbol of maturity and self-confidence in the PUCCA X MARIAESCOTÉ, Maria's signed capsule collection.

"We live in a time when in addition to loving others, we have to know how to love ourselves. A lot!" María Escoté states that self-esteem and affection towards oneself shouldn't be an option, but rather a genuine commitment to ourselves, and PUCCA is a character that definitely coexists with these values and the designer's cheerful and optimistic philosophy.

The collection consists of 3 creative lines, in which the values and messages that the designer wants us to convey take different forms. 'Escoté Namasté', 'I Love Me' and 'Yes I Do' explore the different facets of Pucca, from the explorer and adventurer to the one who accepts and even admires her own imperfections."Don't forget: always be yourself, love yourself and make your "defects" boost your qualities," says María.

Multicolored prints and graffiti-style typography are combined in the Collection's limited series of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and dresses that are available on her website.
The female empowerment claimed in her spring-summer 2019 collection by The Powerpuff Girls and her declared fascination with Asian culture, to whom she has already paid tribute by collaborating with Hello Kitty, go a step further and merge in this chapter of the designer.

In this project, I was responsible for giving the creative directions and starting point trends for the designer to be based on and develop the collection and working directly with Maria Escoté until its launch. Also, I was in charge of certifying that the collection concept was aligned with the marketing actions that were being developed to boost awareness of Pucca's brand, and to be always in touch with Vooz, Pucca's property owner, to guarantee they agreed with the general positioning we were giving to the brand in Europe.
