Initial sate:

Entire paint surface had various relief craquelure. Yellowed varnish made original colours less vibrant and details were obscured. Colours and retouching were incorrectly made to match old yellowed varnish during previous restoration - they were put right over the old yellowed varnish.

Done:

The painting was consolidated, cleaned of the yellowed varnish. Discoloured retouching and overpaint was removed, new retouching was put. The painting was varnished and retouched. Once the damage was completely exposed I carefully proceeded filling and inpainting the damaged area only, areas with the original colours weren’t touched.
