The customized rectangular urn is constructed of wood and metal and can be fabricated in walnut, cherry or mahogany, stained and finished with catalyzed polyurethane.  The urn has six major components; top, frame, two rotating storage blocks, center block, and base.  The rotating storage blocks are one of the major contributors to why our urn is unique.

The top section of the urn is the storage compartment for the bulk of the cremains, with 224 cubic inches of storage space. This box has mitered joints and a cap to keep the cremains contained.  The cap has an integral role in the functionality of the design; housing connection hardware, spacers and bullet catches.

The top section also acts as a display for a 5 x 7 framed photo.  The photo rests behind 2mm thick glass.  Both glass and photo are held in place by a magnetic backed metallic frame. The frame is easily removed from the front without dismantling the urn, allowing photos to be changed without difficulty.

Directly below the top storage compartment are two outer rotating storage blocks and a center block.

(Along with the frame, these three parts are fabricated from metal and will have a high end finish applied.  Final finishes and metal fabrication methods TBD – Cost analysis in process.)

The center block is structural and have two curved notches opposite each other diagonally.  These notches allow the outer vessel storage blocks to rotate.

The two outer storage blocks, each house ten small vessels.  Each small vessel will contain one cubic inch of cremains.  The vessels are to be worn as pendants on a necklace or as a keepsake of a loved one.  The twenty pendant vessels can be utilized in a variety of ways. One example is to distribute a vessel to family members to wear in remembrance, such as during family trip to a loved one’s favorite destination, and spreads ashes during a private ceremony.  Or take your loved one’s ashes to twenty locations around the world and spread the love! (We also offer an option for one rotating storage block to contain ten pendant vessels and the second block can have an open compartment for storing small keepsake items, such as jewelry.)

The face of the front storage block, directly below the frame, can be laser engraved with the loved one’s name, years, and special phases important to the family.

Below these three metal parts is the urn base.  Along with the urns top cap, our base is also an integral part of the designs functionality; containing housing spaces, connection hardware, and four rubber feet that will keep the urn stable while using.
