EVA-01 is the first typeface that I ever designed, I always had the intention but I didn't feel confident enough until now.
EVA-01 is a typeface in which every character follows de 16:9 aspect ratio, thought to take the digital world as its natural habitat. Inspired by the UI systems shown on the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion (hence the name) by Hideaki Anno; the typeface features pixel-like characters that help to emphasise its digital essence when brought into the real world via printed in paper, vinyl materials, embroidery or in a stencil painted in a real life EVANGELION UNIT-01.
