PERSONAL COAT OF ARMS OF ALEXANDER ALEXANDROV
- PROJECT DESCRIPTION -

The main concept of the coat of arms shows the aim of every person to provide security to all who are close to their heart. It also shows the inner and outer battles, which a person needs to win to achieve this security. Still, every battle won grants the person with more strength and wisdom.

The base of the shield is divided into four rectangles, which are coloured checky in black and white. This symbolizes the constant need of making decisions and the struggle between good and evil (and also rational thinking). Everyone knows, that we can't always secure the well-being of those close to us without confronting someone else, and this does not necessarily make us evil.

The border of the base is wavy and a blue tower with black windows and masonry rises directly from it. The interaction between the tower and the base is not something random. It describes the plot of the armorial - a tower the battlements of which are visible from the open ocean. This symbolizes the hope and dreams that our loved ones give us. We can understand this concept easily if we imagine sailors, who constantly search the horizon for signs of land. The most important thing for them is to get back to shore. And the common signs of that are the birds, the mountains, a lantern or, in our case, the blue tower.

The crest consists of the tower as well, but now it rises over a sea of gold. This is an expansion of the main concept. When we overcome all struggles and achieve our dreams, we are surrounded by those who we love and we are blissful. But we are also ready to share our happiness with others.

As I previously mentioned, all of the colours have a special meaning. Black and white together show the decision-making, prioritization, struggle, rationalism. But each of these colours has a separate meaning as well. Black (sable) - wisdom, respect for the elders, perseverance, prudence. White (argent) - sincerity, peace. Gold (or) - generosity, honour and faith. Blue - loyalty, strength, chastity, protection.
