Brief: As a final year Graphic Design student, part of my study included writing a thesis on a topic of my choice. Because of my love for Typography and my desire to expand my knowledge, I chose to write about the comparison between the briliant minds of Jan Tschichold and Paul Renner, contrasting their most eminent creations – Futura and Sabon.
Problem: Even though the hardest part (for me at least) was the research, because it involved lots of reading, I still had to figure out how visualy present to content in an interesting way.
Solution: The main subject of my thesis was the contrast between the two typefaces, so I decided that should be the focus of my visual display. The most effective way to present the contrast between the letterforms was with risograph printin.
