My collection is about paradox. It is driven by the Juxtaposition between hard and soft and structure and fluidity.  The collection plays with the idea of exposing the structure of the garment while still maintaining a soft and delicate flow. The collection continues to play with the idea of paradox and draws on a color story that layers darker dramatic colors over a lighter base. You must literally look through the dark to find the light.  The paradox is carried throughout the collection even into the choice of fabrication. The designs combine soft lighter fabrics, such as chiffon and organza, with heavier velvet appliqués, leather, and metallic hardware. My client is a well to do young 30 year old, who works in a creative field. Her style is inspired by art and music. She has a flare for the dramatic and is always turning heads with her edgy and playful style. She is not one to follow trends rather she prides herself on her unique ability to stay ahead of the curve and provide inspiration to those around her. Both her and her husband work in creative fields, which provides her the freedom to carry her unconventional style into a professional setting.  Due to her own success, as well as the cushion of a great deal of family money, she is fortunate enough to be able to shop as if price is of no object.  Despite her wealth, one of her favorite hobbies is seeking out treasures at various flea markets and vintage stores. She loves to pair her flea market finds with designer pieces to create an eclectic and bohemian ensemble.
