Personal Project - Botanica.
The concept of this project was started based on the idea of a local organization that deals with restoring & reclaiming the environment along the Callan River that runs throughout County Armagh.
I've been capturing part of Friends of the Callan River work on Youtube namely the Allotments that have been set up. This gave me the idea of a community driven project, to get more people involved in the natural environment, to make the City more beautiful & in turn bring people in the community together. To allow the younger generations to nurture their interest in the natural environment.
I wanted this project to involve both the physical activity of planting flowers, but also to rally the community spirit, which means to be inclusive to anyone from any background, to get involved together and to educate ourselves of the environment around us, how we can damage it but also what we can do to improve it, while getting involved and feeling proud of growing something, together.
