For this assignment, each student was assigned an age demographic, and then asked to choose a festival or tourism event in Michigan to design a poster for.

 

Demographic: Adults 35-45 with children who are "tweens" (9-12)

Tourism Event: Michigan Challenge Balloonfest

 

My father is actually a competitor at the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest, as well as many other Michigan balloon festivals. So the challenge for this project was to use my knowledge about the world of competitive ballooning to move past the expected and create a unique poster to serve my demographic.

 

Concept: Using images and colors that represent the grandeur of the world above will awaken the spirit of adventure that directs eyes skyward and makes us hungry for a taste of flight
