What a Carve Up, Penguin Awards.

 

For my book cover I aimed to show the overall theme in a strong singular image, I wanted to portray corruption and poison, which is currently occuring throughout the book in both Michaels writing and the time period it is set in. 

 

I am showing this theme through ink, which also resembles Michaels writing, the ink starts off with an innocent blue but slowly transforming into a dark gloomy red, showing how further into the book you go the darker it gets, dark secrets are unveiled by Michaels writing. To add another design element I have included some negative space faces within the ink to show the characters being unveiled throughout the book.
