Illuminous - Orrery Kit
Illuminous is a Greek-based outreach program that raises funds for Observatories and helps educate youths on astronomy and science.
For this packaging project, I wanted to exercise my illustration abilities. The project required me to create a fictional company with a backstory and design a brand behind it. To create a complete package, I need to create assets such as a label for the sandpaper and glue, an Extensive assembly guide, an outer package, and an inner sleeve. The inner sleeve features illustrated imagery that is associated with astronomy that is patterned to decorate the tray. The booklet contains safety instructions and a step-by-step guide on how to assemble the orrery. The outer package has illustrations based on Greek gods and classical architecture designed to take advantage of the box shape.
