I was trying to find out when is the release date of the new Joker movie (Joker Folie a Deux), only to stumble upon a study that analyzes Harley Quinn's character (the co-star of the Joker movie) as a person with HPD.

As an HPD (Histrionic Personality Disorder) individual, Quinn seeks out Joker's attention, approval, and constant love; and is not in it for the sexual pleasure of life. Unfortunately, the Joker could care less about Harley and just uses her for his criminal acts and sexual needs.

"Whether or not an individual has HPD, everyone seeks approval; it could be from parents, friends, teachers, or lovers. However, if the person is not aware he or she is seeking approval, that characteristic could be linked to HPD." - the study continues.

It is weird how often we act in a certain way only to discover that it is actually diagnosed as a personality disorder!

We have crossed a great milestone in mental health awareness but it sometimes describes every human being trait as a disorder; don't you think?
