Flower of Scotland Tartan - A Brief History Of Its Clan

History:
There's an unmistakable importance to the highland attire when it comes down to going full throttle with traditional Scottish attire. Dressing head-to-toe in the colorful and iconic "Flower of Scotland" tartan will leave an impression for good or bad on all who cross your path. This versatile, eye-catching tartan is in no way connected with any of Scotland's many highland clans, so anyone can wear it with pride.
The design is based on the setting and thread count of a Gunn tartan kilt, as worn by Roy Williamson also known as The Corries. It was named after William and Mary Gunn. Traditional 18th century colors are used in this particular design which includes Lichen Green and Lochan Blue hues. Flower of Scotalnd is made with the highest quality fabric and the most beautifully designed wool available in North America - making it a great choice for browsing something “made from home”. You can always find high-quality Scottish goods like these at Gretna Green, where you will discover an abundance of items to commemorate your love for Scotland in one way or another!

What is the Flower of Scotland tartan?
Flower of Scotland is meant to be a very respectful tribute to Roy Williamson, the man who wrote the words and music for "The Flower of Scotland" song. In his personal life, he was known to always wear the Gunn tartan (which is used as a basis of "Flower of Scotland") because he believed that it would make him look fantastic. I've added some cornflower blue and zephyr green to help make this tribute easier on the eyes (really though, I think you're going highlander with all those different colors). As a company, we wanted this Flower of Scotland Tartan design to pair perfectly with our line of Scottish products available at Scottish Kilt. So that we could attract people who love there scotch and appreciate both Scottish culture as well as their opportunity to express themselves in new and interesting ways!
What colours are in the Flower of Scotland tartan?
