I was asked to recover the space of Villa Sormani, a public area located in the province of Como, Lombardy.

The request was to give new life to that space in accordance with the needs of the local community and to create a visual identity that would be able to revitalize the villa.

Mi è stato chiesto di recuperare lo spazio di Villa Sormani, area pubblica situata in provincia di Como, Lombardia.
La richiesta era quella di dare nuova vita a tale spazio in accordo con i bisogni della comunità locale e di creare un'identità visiva che fosse in grado di rilanciare la villa.

PLACEMAKING:

Our goal was to make Villa Sormani a hub of the city, a free and multifunctional space. To do this, we envisioned the villa as a large bulletin board where anyone can put up a notice and organize an activity by reserving the area from the website.
We also envisioned an outdoor cinema with 3 theme nights in order to boost the villa and attract new people.

Il nostro obbiettivo era rendere Villa Sormani un fulcro della città, uno spazio libero e polifunzionale. Per fare ciò abbiamo immaginato la villa come una grande bacheca dove chiunque può appendere un avviso e organizzare un’ attività prenotando l'area dal sito.
Inoltre abbiamo pensato un cinema all'aperto con 3 serate a tema al fine di rilanciare la villa e attirare nuove persone.

We designed a poster system for the outdoor cinema: specifically 3 posters for the three theme nights.

WEBSITE:

We designed the website to look like a bulletin board where any citizen can post his or her own activity or subscribe to one proposed by someone else.
