For this project, I made a website for a fictional Arcade. I wanted to keep lots of retro vibes of the era while having some modern elements. I wanted there to be birthday parties and food and tons of game. Something that puts together a kid would dream about.

Here are some layouts that I was experimenting with. In the end, I found that option 3 was the best because it had complexity but without being overwhelming.

This is the first concept for my site logo. I really wanted the 3D pop out button aesthetic, and while it worked well for the text, it was too much for the background to also have it. So my final design is simplified with a shade indicating that there is a box without actually showing it.

Final design

This is the background pattern I came up with. It was made to mirror arcade carpet designs in the 1970s which adds so much for to the look and feel of the page.

The Final website is functional and has a very clean layout. All of the graphics that I created looked good. The navigation was swell and while another page would have added some extra depth, For what I have, its great.
