Fish & Chips is a dish which comes from Great Britain, I tried to illustrate this recipe with a "thriller" spirit. The idea was to tell an horrific tale about Jack the Ripper in the victorian London, and about a crime scene in the very heart of Whitechapel. I also inspired myself from the openning of the david Fincher's film "Seven".

 

I had the little "gore" details with the cut and bloody tomato on the right, the idea was to mix the recipe with bloody ingredients like blood orange or "beef hart" tomato. I wanted the tomato to look like a dissected heart.

Le Fish & Chips est un plat venu de la Grande Bretagne, j'ai donc voulu illustrer cette recette avec un esprit "thriller". L'idée était de raconter une histoire d'horreur sur Jack L'éventreur dans un Londres victorien et d'une scene de crime au coeur de Whitechapel. Je me suis aussi inspirée du générique d'ouverture du film de David Fincher, "Seven".

 

J'ai obtenus certains details "gore" grâce à la tomate coupée qu'on aperçoit sur la droite. L'idée était de mélanger différents ingrédients un peu sanglants comme de l'orange sanguine ou des tomates coeur de boeuf. Je voulais ainsi que la tomate ait l'air d'un coeur dissequé.
