In 2020 Katana agency contacted me to develop a new packaging for Altesa cones. Altesa is the largest producer/distributor of cones in Latin America but operates in a B2B model. With this packaging redesign they will enter the B2C market.
This redesign is part of a long-term strategy, where the cone is given back prominence, since ice cream is always the one that gets the attention. In that year, a law also came into force that obliged all products that exceeded a certain percentage of sugar, salt or fat to use black stamps on the upper part of the packaging.
The visual exploration was focused on establishing the combination possibilities for your cone, while creating a very identifiable texture that stands out from other full color packaging on shelves, to help it adapt to the new market faster.
