Ignition was also tasked with building out the ad campaign. The campaign was focused more on character development for the film beyond Carl and Russell. All of the characters we featured by themselves to push specific characters to specific demographics. Doing this gave Disney a vast reach for a classic Pixar film that is younger audience driven, but had wide appeal to the older audience.
As the designer and animator I was responsible for production design and animation on the website. My role on the ad campaign was lead designer working along side the Art Director and Creative Director. As well as lead motion designer and production flash developer. All animations of characters were provided by Pixar. Custom animation was then integrated with the character animations to create a unique execution for each ad size.
