Riverfest 2022 (2)*
Saturday - Faces in the Crowd
Waltham, Massachusetts, June 2022
The annual Riverfest celebration begins with a band concert on Friday afternoon, followed by a full day of activities on Saturday. This Waltham holiday takes place on the banks of the Charles River, near the red brick textile mill (still standing) where the modern American Industrial Revolution got its start in 1813.
On Saturday, bands played, arts and crafts were presented for sale, public service groups handed out literature, and food was sold from big trucks. I stayed away from the vendor stalls and food trucks, preferring to take pictures of people—those who came to enjoy themselves on this fine day. The two dogs are Siberian Huskies, we were told, ferocious-looking, but famously gentle and sociable. Friday’s photos can be seen here.
