Ocean Waste Fabric | Motion Graphic

This is a project for a company which is dedicated to producing functional fabric. The task was to create a motion graphic containing their new, environmentally friendly fabric.

The images below are part of the inspiration they've provided.
From those images, I've chosen a cyclist as the main character to tell my story.
This environmentally friendly fabric they want to promote is made of ocean waste, such as bottles and abandoned fishing nets.
With those ocean wastes, the company turns them into quality nylon yarn to achieve a sustainable green environment.
Therefore, I put these crucial elements into my work.
As a transition to express the process, that ocean waste turns into nylon yarn and then into clothes. Nothing can be as classic and simple as knitting.
The most important and magic part is turning ocean waste into yarn and knitting clothes from yarn.

Here I use the glitch effect to express the procedure and it is also seen as the high-speed performance of the cyclist.
The hidden meaning behind these is that the ocean waste fabric is nice and could support the cyclist to get faster.

On top of the glitch effect graphic, I put the company's name to indicate that this important process is accomplished by them.

The whole story winds up in a circle to achieve a perpetual cycle that matches the purpose of an environmentally friendly product.
I used the fabric sample they provided as the background texture.

As for the color, apart from the company's brand color, I've chosen dark blue and light blue-green. These two colors represent the "ocean" and "environmental protection". Intentionally I put green on the right-hand side as a sign the cyclist is heading towards eco-friendly.
Thank you for reading until now.
Share your thoughts with me. I'd love to hear from you.
