One of my favourite subjects to photograph are transshipment points for goods and merchandise. There I like to find order in the lively chaos and indulge in the interplay of colours, shapes and structures.
The Auhafen Mutttenz near Basel is one of Basel's three Rhine harbours. Goods, merchandise, oil and cement are handled here.
I walked through the harbour area with the Leica in the bright midday light and intense heat. Because of the bright light and the fact that it was Sunday (no one was working there), I was able to capture colourful and quiet motifs of this otherwise "busy" area.

Eines meiner gern fotografierten Sujets sind Umschlagsplätze von Waren und Gütern. Dort finde ich gerne die Ordnung im lebendigen Chaos und gebe mich dem Spiel aus Farben, Formen und Strukturen hin.
Der Auhafen Muttenz bei Basel ist einer der drei Rheinhäfen von Basel. Hier werden Güter, Waren, Öl und Zement umgeschlagen.
Bei grellem Mittagslicht und großer Hitze lief ich mit der Leica durch das Hafengelände. Wegen des hellen Lichtes und dem Umstand das es Sonntag war (niemand arbeitete dort) ergaben sich bunte und im Charakter ruhige Motive dieses ansonsten „umtriebigen“ Geländes.
