Fragmented
At times, we can go so far from what we knew ourselves to be, that one can scarcely even recognize. Sometimes, we wear a mask for so long that it engulfs and devours who we are, leaving us in a state of dissonance, feeling lost and out of touch; fragmented. We must confront ourselves. Only then can we see our true selves, past the remnants of our humanity. The person staring back at you can look so foreign, leaving you wondering where all the pieces have gone. They are inside you. Don’t let your trauma hold you back. Don’t let it define you. Don’t give it the power to steal your happiness, your peace, your personality; it can manifest in your actions, your words, causing you to spread the hurt. Face it so. Analyze it. Ask why. Find the answers. Set yourself free. Break the cycle. You are stronger than you know. Love yourself. Take care of you. You deserve it.
