How can you be proud of your country?

When you see what almost everyone thinks about your country and what the government does year after year. How can you still love this place? When patriotism is a swear word for you because it means you have been elected to a political side.

It's hard work.

I asked a lot of people to write me something. Something that is so important to them that no matter what happens, they always feel love for Hungary in their hearts.

And they wrote it.

Many heartwarming things have been written. The smell of their childhood, an important person for them, some food of course what is always Hungarian for them, the first kiss, a part of their favorite song or poem and much more.

These are treasures for them.

And a treasure for us.

I made a sunflower. In the head of a sunflower, each seed is a separate flower. I think each treasure is the life in the seeds, so I made 525 pottery cores and described everything people sent and put them in pottery shells. After I was done with that, I put it in the sunflower plate I made.

But I didn’t want to keep them for myself (although I would need them very much). I want to plant these seeds in someone else’s heart.

During the exhibition, each visitor could pick up a seed and choose to break it or take it home.
