GOJI WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
Nicole, CEO and Co-founder of Goji, approached me several months ago with a request to redesign and rebuild the Goji website. Goji is a service that allows parents and guardians to receive product recommendations for their children. The original branding and style of the startup was vibrant and playful, and it was important to retain those aspects in the redesign.

WEBSITE EVALUATION
It was important to evaluate the original landing page with the client, to determine what could be improved from the first approach, and what was necessary to include in the redesign. From a design perspective, we aimed to create a more eye-catchy landing page, that communicated the benefits and potential of the product more.
In my evaluation of the site, I also determined that there were accessibility concerns with the colour combinations used on the landing page. Therefore, before evening moving forward with the redesign, we worked on adjusting the red and yellow brand colours so that we could incorporate them more easily into the design and patterns.
DESIGN SYSTEM
Part of my process also involved creating a basic design system, which would identify the key components and assets for the brand for future designs. I used the Atomic Design System methodology, as well as layout inspiration from Mizko to construct this design system.
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
The final site build was developed in Webflow using the Client-First Class Naming system. It was a great experience working with Nicole and Andrew on the project, and we were all incredibly satisfied with the final product. Using Webflow allowed me to incorporate more custom functionalities that the client wanted, including custom forms, a blog CMS and editor functionality.
