Dream Works is a non-profit gym whose purpose is to not only focus on and provide a locale for physical activity, but also to deliver projects and services focused on personal development through a wide variety of activities, including athletics, workout classes/group training, staffing services/career readiness, EduCare (school/daycare/homeschool co-op), summer camps, and business development, while promoting Christianity. Dream Works also offers personal training, meal readiness/nutrition training, a relaxation room, total body scanning, tanning, Dream Works Java Shop, and Dream Works Fuel'd (teas/shakes)!

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the gym

the weights, they just laid there with no one to lift them.

I sat in the Java Shop and fixed me a hot brew,

not another soul was here, not even the crew!

The members were home with pie and a spoon

and no thoughts of squats happening anytime soon.

They talked and they laughed and thought about naps,

not thinking twice about running their laps.

I sat and I pondered, for what was our mission?

and thought to myself, “It’s ‘wellness with a vision’.”

I wanted to make a difference and my mind, it was scheming

How could I help to keep everyone dreaming?

Then on the roof there arose such a clatter,

I hopped to my feet to see what was the matter

I looked through the front door and what did I see?
It was jolly Saint Nick walking up towards me!

I welcomed him in and I made him a drink,

a peppermint striped mocha, he liked it I think

It had been a long night and he wanted to eat,

so he sat down beside me for a late night treat.

Oh muffin, oh bagel, yum ice cream and toffee,

He washed it all down with a fresh cup of coffee.

He begged for my help as he thought about cake,

but we had to hurry, for soon the children would wake.

Besides the children, we just talked about snacks,

but he made me a promise to get back on track.

Then we talked about workouts, nutrition, and fluff;

he even showed me a pic from back when he was buff.

“I didn’t always jiggle, as you can now see.

These dang milk and cookies have done this to me.”

“Oh please just tell me what I can do.”

I answered, “pull ups and lunges and do quite a few.”

“Burpees and deadlifts will get you just right,

Your arms and your pecs will soon be quite tight!

If you learn to eat well for most of the year,

a night of milk and cookies will be nothing to fear.”

“I’ll put in a lot of work and I won’t be a schmuck,

When I go down the chimney, I’ll no longer get stuck!

Muscles you will see instead of a round belly,

Next year it won’t shake like a bowl full of jelly!”

“Thank you to Dream Works for telling me how,

and teaching me that a better future starts now.”

Then I heard him exclaim as he walked out of sight,

Merry Christmas, you dreamers, and to all a good night!
