In a bid to reduce the upsurge in the number of street children in Nairobi Kenya's Capital City, the national government embarked on a program exercise rapid response initiative rescue programme through Nairobi County County in its bid to relocate street families into  rehabilitation centers. Pressure groups criticized the government use of force as it set to decongest the city from the surging numbers of street families.
