Personal perspective

The theme of my project will focus on capturing human perspective; I aim to make my audience realise the potential of perspective and how perspective changes. I want to create an interactive installation – at this point I’m unsure how interactive it’s going to be, although I hope to set out a path for my audience to follow, encouraging them to walk through projection and gaining insight from different points in the room. These different points could be combined with specific soundtracks, played through headphones by using QR codes on plaques.
I will use graphics and generative coding, looking at shapes and forms to create perspective. I think this will be really important to look at for my project. How do the physical shapes react with the digital shapes? I will experiment with projection mapping to compose a piece that is full of texture and different layers of perspective.
I have used mind mapping to consider the following ideas: horizon, form, time, reflection, disguise, future and existence. These words are key words of what human perspective is made up of and can be seen in our everyday lives. My project will show these characteristics of perspective visually making the audience understand them and how they visualise their own perspectives in this framework. So that they will leave the piece with a new appreciation of other perspectives and an understanding that it’s not necessarily what we look at which shapes our perspective but how we look at and where we see it from.
In my piece I wanted to demonstrate what it is to have a perspective as a human being. I wanted to communicate visually and creatively using audio and visuals and communicate perspective through a physical representation of what it is to have a perspective.
