Meaning: Common English saying suggesting something that you say in order to warn someone to wait until a good thing they are expecting has really happened before they make any plans about it

Origin: In "The Milkmaid and Her Pail", a young milkmaid named Patty was carrying a pail of milk on her head. While she walked to the market to sell the pail of milk, she came up with great plans about what she would do with the money she got from this pail of milk and ultimately, the amazing rewards she was going to reap from how she would use this money. Her plan mostly consisted of buying eggs that she expected would hatch chickens and earning even more money from the sale of the eggs her chickens would lay. In the end, Patty drops the pail of milk and her mother says to her, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch."

After looking into my quote I then continued by breaking them up and looking at what the words meant separately, this is shown below.
After looking at how the meaning of the quotes changed when I broke them down I then continued by doing research into differnt images based around the words above.
Taking insperation from the quotes and images I have I decided to look into the quotes 'One does not discover new lands wthout consenting to lose sght of the shore for a very long time' and 'Think like a man of action, act like a man of thought.' with these two quotes I began to do research on the different kinds of image I could use to create my piece.
After looking at the type of images I found for the two quote I have chosen I then began to put together different design ideas for my final paice, I found that doing these gave me inspiration and this then allowed my to create my final piece. For my final piece i decided to choses the quote 'One does not discover new lands wthout consenting to lose sght of the shore for a very long time' taking this I then chose a sutiable image that worked well with the quote and then edited it so that the metaphor was involved.
