Open PDP is an international congress dedicated to open access. It is organised by the Faculty of Technical Sciences located in Novi Sad, Serbia. Over the years PDP convention was dedicated to graphic technologies, but from last year turned to open access in science, art and ideas, Open MIND, Open IDEA, Open ART. Therefore, topic of Open PDP5 was “Open access”. The aim of this conceptual task was to connect Internet piracy (SOPA, ACTA,...) with an idea of open access, in posters.
"Sharing is caring" stands for basic sentence of Internet piracy, the foundation of file sharing. The problem of limiting individual in expressing their own ideas by the environment, creates the opposite creative process than desired. However, despite file sharing's legal standing, its 'sharing' foundation is what buoys the entire culture. Unlike bootleggers, file sharers make no financial profit from their activities, and there are also a range of beneficial outcomes to this culture.
