This was my first paid gig as a photographer. In the final year of college, students in Coimbra, Portugal usually get a shoot to remind them of their student years. My subjects were studying medicine and the color associated with their course is yellow, hence the hats and canes seen. Beneath these yellow accessories lies the regular garments of an university student in Coimbra (other Portuguese regions have slightly different iterations of the outfit), which can also be seen towards the end of this photo essay.

The shoot itself was a little complicated, the day was overcast and the light kept alternating between a grey and muted look and a very harsh sunlight with a strong contrast. Preserving the same look between photos was a little tough, but I think they turned out alright.
