IKEA THIFT: Designing a sustainable concept for IKEA
Creating a sustainable concept for IKEA, in this collaborative project the concept we came up with was to create an app for IKEA where users could share hacks to do up and fix furniture, buy and sell second hand and be a part of an online sustainable furniture community. A big feature for the app was the IKEA lens feature, which enables the app user to see furniture in their own living spaces accurate to size through their phone screen. This would lower the amount of returns and waste from customers selecting products that don't fit in their intended spaces or match the interior design of their home like maybe first thought.

The goal was the get more furniture from being dumped in landfills and effecting our environment, with the idea that one mans trash is another's treasure. We wanted to reduce the effect on climate change and also offer sustainable and cheaper furniture options ensuring products have long lives past coming and going trends.
As the Graphic Designer of the group, I designed the apps UI and UX. From how the app would look page by page with icons and buttons ect, to how the app would be navigated by the consumer.
