Join Malala
Join Malala is an extension of the Malala Fund, an organization founded by Malala Yousafzai. Malala is a 16 year old Pakistani advocate for girls education who was shot in the head by the Taliban in 2012. The fund battles things standing between many girls and education, including culture, violence, poverty, and lack of quality schools.
The Join Malala App pairs users together with the 40 girls currently being sponsored by The Malala Fund. Once a match is made, the pair is able to message and send photos through a safe network. The Malala Fund recipients' identities are protected, and the Malala Fund translates all messages between the pairs. The Fund's sponsorship program provides access to computers to its participants.
