How we store Farm Produce, Old and Modern Methods in Pictures
Nebraska in Midwestern United States can be considered one of the food producing areas of America. This state specializes in Corn and Soybeans but produces other table foods such as vegetables and fruits. However, the Soybeans and Corn are produced in such massive amounts, usually by irrigation, that has necessitated large storage systems which have changed over the centuries.
Nebraska is also heavy into meat and milk production. That story is for another day!
This documentary is about the old and modern systems of farm produce storage as seen along the Fremont - Verdigre corridor of North East Nebraska.
