Time Slowing Device, 2013
Hold this object in your hand to slow down time.
The Time Slowing Device was designed to suspend moments or experiences we wish would not pass by so quickly. When at rest the hollow metal structure sits on a round wooden base. Both the device and its base are small and portable, allowing its use in any location. The Time Slowing Device is most effective when the user is sitting on the ground, in a quiet space.
Instructions: Sit down. Rest the base in your lap. Place one hand on the device, orient your fingers over the point.
Rock the device back and forth (forward and backwards) for ten minutes before the event or time that you would like to slow down. Time will be slowed for the rest of that day, until midnight. One may also notice that upon using the device you will be able to enjoy each and every elongated minute of the day. You will not just be going through the motions of the everyday.
The device is intended to expand the use of meditative rituals in the practice of life.
