Rosenbach Museum & Library / Brand Identity

The Rosenbach Rebrand Project

Established in 1954, The Rosenbach is an historic museum and library that contains nearly 400,000 rare books, manuscripts, and historical objects to foster education and creative learning for individuals throughout their various exhibitions, programs, and research. The museum resides in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia PA.
The Rosenbach rebrand is an evolution of the current brand and aims to provide a fresh perspective on the library’s rich history.
Logo Redesign

With the brand's niche presence, I wanted to create a logo that not only contains rich elements of the old design but also one that is more recognizable and will attract new visitors.
The emblem is inspired by The Rosenbach's architecture, books/bookshelves, and their original logo's "key" element. It has equal weight to the logo type to create balance to the overall logo.
